On 14 November 2025, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute hosted the final lecture by Giovanni Ercolani within his original series \u201cAnthropology and Security Studies.\u201d<\/strong>
\nDuring this concluding session, the researcher presented the topic of anthropological fieldwork, focusing on culture, identity, myths, symbols, rituals, and emotions. The lecture included an analysis of Giovanni Ercolani\u2019s field studies in Lebanon (UNIFIL Mission) and his work with military and civilian communities.
\nA special part of the lecture was devoted to his long-term research on the artists of the Revolution of Dignity and the formation of the \u201cSpirit of Maidan,\u201d which, according to the researcher, has become a key element of contemporary Ukrainian identity.
\nThe Department of Sociology sincerely thanks Professor Giovanni Ercolani for delivering this lecture series and for the gifted book \u201cAnthropology and Security Studies,\u201d which will enrich the department\u2019s library.
