Dillen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dear Fulbrighters,<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Fulbright Program in Ukraine is pleased to invite you to an open lecture \u201cTrust and the News Media: Lessons for the U.S. and Ukraine&#8221; by U.S. Fulbright Specialist 2015 Mark E. Dillen, to be held on Monday, November 23, 2015, 6:00 p.m., at the Fulbright Office (20 Esplanadna Street, Suite 904, M &#8220;Palats Sportu&#8221;, Kyiv).<br \/>\n<!--more-->Mark E. Dillen has spent the last moth lecturing on media and communications at universities in Ukraine under the Fulbright Specialist Program. He has held a wide variety of senior positions in media relations, public affairs, public relations, business communications and journalism. Previously a Senior Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, Mark served in Washington DC, Moscow, Berlin, Bonn, Rome, Belgrade and Sofia. Most recently he managed communications for an Obama administration initiative to increase electrical power in Africa and led the communications effort for the USAID Mission in Afghanistan. Currently he heads Dillen Associates LLC, a public affairs consultancy in San Francisco, California. Mark received his B.A. cum laude in Russian and East European studies from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University, where he was an International Fellow. He received an honorary doctorate from the University of World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria, for his efforts to promote post-Communist transition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The lecture will be presented in English.<br \/>\nA wine and cheese reception will follow.<br \/>\nPlease register online to attend the lecture.<br \/>\nPlease share this information with anyone who might be interested.
