There is global high demand for specialists of this due to to the presence of armed confrontations and conflicts around the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Master\u2019s Program \u201cConflict Resolution and Mediation\u201d was launched Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute \u00a0with the aim of training specialists who could formulate comprehensive strategies and tactics for conflict resolution in 2017 at the initiative of the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine. National Technical University of Ukraine \u201cIgor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute\u201d with consistently high rankings among Ukrainian higher education institutions responded the first to this initiative and received support from the Embassies of the United Kingdom and Switzerland to develop and implement this program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the first time in Ukraine, a comprehensive program of training experts in conflict resolution has been created, based on the cutting edge research in sociology, comparative politics, public administration, psychology, and legal studies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The program \u201cConflict Resolution and Mediation\u201d is implemented at the National Technical University of Ukraine \u201cIgor Sikorsky Polytechnic Institute\u201d on the basis of the Department of Sociology. Lectures involved into the program have an ongoing \u00a0cooperation with institutions and experts in the field of conflict resolution (both local and international). Training materials are being developed using the latest achievements of the world\u2019s leading academics and practitioners in the domain of conflict resolution and peace-building.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Master\u2019s program includes the following professional \u201cmaps\/blueprints\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>specialized<\/strong>(\u201cConflict resolution, mediation and peacebuilding\u201d, \u201cStrategic planning in conflict resolution and peacebuilding\u201d, \u201cNational reconciliation\u201d, \u201cModeling and forecasting of social conflicts\u201d, \u201cTheory and practice of negotiation\u201d, \u201cFundamentals of restorative justice\u201d and \u201cRegional\u201d conflicts \u201c,\u201d International humanitarian law \u201c)<\/li>\n<li><strong>applied<\/strong>(\u201cProtection of intellectual property\u201d, \u201cDesign of sociological research\u201d, \u201cQuantitative methods of analysis of sociological processes\u201d, \u201cThe newest qualitative methods of data analysis in sociology\u201d, \u201cPublic relations and crisis communications\u201d, \u201cFundamentals of scientific research\u201d)<\/li>\n<li><strong>international<\/strong>(\u201cCross-national Studies in Sociology\u201d, \u201cSociological Theories of Social Change, Transformation and Modernization\u201d, \u201cSociological Studies of Migration and Internal Resettlement\u201d)<\/li>\n<li><strong>practices<\/strong>(teaching, research, internships at leading public and private sector institutions relevant to conflict management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Department of Sociology, Igor Sikorsky KPI, pursues an active policy of attracting leading Ukrainian and international scientists to give lectures to students studying in the Master\u2019s program in Conflict Resolution and Mediation. Guest speakers of the Department of Sociology regularly are E. Golovakha, S. Makeev, N. Kostenko, O. Zlobina (Institute of Sociology, NASU); G. Derlugyan (New York University \u2013 Abu-Dhabi), K. Harris (University of California, Los Angeles), A. Bozoki (CEU), P. Tamash (Corvinus University, Budapest), I. Krastev (Institute of Humanities Science, Vienna), K.
